Focus Property Group will open an information center at its new Providence master plan during a weekend celebration on June 3 and 4. Festivities are planned from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days and admission is free.

Visitors to the community in the northwestern Las Vegas Valley will be treated to entertainment, family activities and live radio and television remotes. Local celebrities are expected to visit, and there will be refreshments.

Additionally, several noted authors and storytellers will attend in recognition of the fifth anniversary of Spread the Word Nevada: Kids to Kids, a nonprofit organization promotes children’s literacy.

“People who come out for the grand opening will have the opportunity to see what a bright future residents of the community will enjoy, along with a lineup of talented, authors and entertainers,” said John Ritter, chairman and chief executive officer of Focus Property Group.

The fact they can do so while being able to help an organization like Kids to Kids will make the weekend even more special.

“The community of Providence celebrates the literary legacy of Americana, through paying tribute to the country’s greatest writers. Taking into account that great writing is something that should be shared we plan on having a strong relationship with Kids to Kids as they do their incredible work helping connect young people with the enjoyment of reading and literature.”

Providence is a 1,200-acre community located at the Las Vegas Beltway and Hualapai Way.

The information center will be similar to the one Focus operates in its Mountain’s Edge community in the southwestern valley.

Inside, prospective buyers will receive assistance with researching the home builders and their respective neighborhoods. Additionally, information will be available about the community’s planned parks, trails, recreation areas and public works projects.

LandTek, a land development company, was retained to complete more than $50 million in infrastructure including roadways, water systems and landscaping.

“Our commitment to building a strong community for our residents began with our infrastructure efforts that were done years ahead of schedule,” Ritter said.

“New residents will have access to a beautiful community with tree-lined streets, scenic parks and a sense of community that’s reminiscent of the best of what you’d find in days of old.”

Home builders with plans to develop neighborhoods within Providence include:

Astoria, Avante, Beazer, Fairfield Residential, Lennar DS, Lennar EI, Meritage, Pardee, Pulte, Richmona American, R/S Development, Ryland, Warmington Nevada, and Woodside.

The first builder expected to offer homes for purchase is KB Home. The company plans to introduce four neighborhoods in July.
