Mountain’s Edge is a 3,500-acre master planned community and the first in Southern Nevada to embrace drought tolerant landscaping from its inception. In order to serve the community, LandTek was required to build a $9 million flood detention basin, the largest privately built project of its kind in Nevada.
Other highlights of the project include the construction of several major roadways, a custom streetlight system, and a 100-megawatt power substation to serve more than 14,500 homes across the community. Landtek is also developing several major parks including the initial 25 acres of the 280-acre regional park, and an 80-acre park that lies at the base of the 2,846-foot Exploration Peak.

Las Vegas, Nevada
The 1,200-acre Providence master planned community is located in the northwestern Las Vegas I-215 growth corridor. The community includes tree-lined promenades and a traditional hometown theme. Among the community's most impressive infrastructure projects are its efforts toward efficient water management. LandTek supported construction of a 27 million gallon underground water reservoir with a pumping station that houses nine pumps. LandTek also managed the construction of a separate 5 million gallon water tank that provides additional domestic service and fire storage for the community, and developed a 12 mile water transmission and distribution network.
Upon completion, Providence will include 50 acres of parks, trails, and a pedestrian-friendly paseo. Featuring more than 4,000 trees, along with countless shrubs and plants spanning dozens of types and varieties, the project will uphold the client's commitment to protecting the environment by taking a conservation-minded and water-conscious approach, while still providing lush aesthetics throughout the community.
